The Victorian Department of Health Child Safe Standards Self-Assessment Tool, provides organisations with a practical way to review their current practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Outdoor Health Australia (OHA) strongly supports practices that centre child safety. This commitment is reflected in the OHA Quality Framework: Ethical Principles and Practice Standards, which includes a specific focus on preventing harm and complying with relevant child safety legislation and standards.
Child safety is also reflected in the requirements for inclusion in the OHA Outdoor Health Service Directory. Listed providers are required to work towards upholding ethical principles and comply with relevant child safety and vulnerable people legislation, including having a Child Safe policy.
