Service Directory – About

OHA does not currently endorse specific Providers listed in the Service Directory.

AABAT is a volunteer-led organisation seeking to grow the Outdoor Health sector in Australia.

The Outdoor Health Service Directory is designed to increase access to evidence-informed nature-based services by sharing information about Outdoor Health providers around Australia. We do not charge a fee nor earn any income from the Directory. The information is offered as a free service to support the general public, referrers and the emerging sector.

We ask that you undertake your own investigation and assessment to ensure the service listed is appropriate for your needs.

If you discover inaccurate information, or misinformation, or have a complaint about a Provider, please email: [email protected].

As of May 2023, all providers will be required to agree to the following to hold a public listing:

  • Working to uphold AABAT’s Ethical Principles
  • Compliance with the Child safety and Vulnerable People laws of their state/territory (including an uploaded Child Safe policy)
  • Working within the legislated and ethical parameters of their scope of practice
  • Compliance with the Australian Adventure Activity Standards for outdoor activities (if relevant).

Agreement to the above is not a guarantee.

We encourage all service users to seek further details from a service to be satisfied that it will meet their needs. This may include details about risk management plans, emergency response, staff training and viewing child safe documents.
