OHA Victoria Community Winter Gathering: Wayapa Wuurrk with Fiona Goodwin

23 August | 10am–12pm | Alphington

This winter, OHA Victoria members are invited to gather on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country for a morning of connection, reflection and gentle movement through the earth-based mindfulness practice of Wayapa Wuurrk.

Our Victorian regional representatives regularly host gatherings in nature, creating opportunities for OHA members to connect with one another, share experiences and strengthen our community of outdoor health practitioners and advocates.

Facilitated by Fiona Goodwin (she/her), this gathering will introduce participants to Wayapa Wuurrk — a practice inspired by First Nations wisdom that combines 14 gentle physical movements with meditation, narrative and connection to the earth. Each movement corresponds to an element of Country and Aboriginal spirituality, providing an opportunity to reflect on our relationship with the natural world.

Participants will be invited to slow down, listen and connect through visualisation and/or gentle movement, while reflecting on the wisdom, rhythms and interconnectedness of nature. The session offers a welcoming space to explore mindful connection with Country while honouring both the body and the natural environment.

Wayapa Wuurrk is inclusive and accessible to people of all cultures and abilities.

Whether you are a long-standing OHA member or are simply looking to connect with others who share a passion for outdoor health, this gathering is an opportunity to pause, reconnect and enjoy community in nature. Not a member? The cost of OHA membership ($65) is about the same as a workshop. Join today! great value for money.
