Climate Resources for Young People

Thanks to Kelly Stork, Adapt NSW for sharing this resource with OHA and our community.

As our climate continues to change, supporting young people to build climate literacy, resilience and wellbeing is increasingly important.

AdaptNSW has developed A Climate of Change, a free suite of educational resources designed for young people aged 15–17. A Climate of Change is a wellbeing focused program supporting teachers and other educators to help young people navigate the emotional impacts of climate change. The resources help young people understand the impacts of climate change, explore ways to build resilience and wellbeing, and develop practical skills for adapting to environmental change.

The resources have been co-designed with young people and guided by Youth and First Nations Advisory Committees, helping ensure they reflect young people’s experiences, perspectives and needs.

With Outdoor Health Australia’s focus on the connections between nature, wellbeing and resilience, these resources may be valuable for outdoor educators, practitioners and organisations working with young people.
