
Outdoors Victoria held its annual conference on 23/24 July at Victoria University in Melbourne. OHA EO Tony Varcoe attended, joined by 200 students, practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and others.
The program included a keynote address from Prof. Dianne Vella-Brodrick (Centre for Wellbeing Science, Faculty of Education, University of Melbourne) on the wellbeing benefits of nature connection.
In addition to the great networking opportunities, the conference included broad ranging interactive sessions covering topics including outdoor leadership, risk management, making outdoors more inclusive for diverse communities, technology, program design and mental health.
